Mimi McVey, Designer
Mimi earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arizona, where she pursued an emphasis in Scenic Design. Her passion for storytelling through space led her to work on theatrical productions such as Uncle Vanya and Sweeney Todd, experiences that deepened her appreciation for the intersection of architecture, performance, and light.
Mimi’s fascination with lighting was further shaped by her capstone in the Metaphysics of Light track, which explored light as both a conceptual and physical design element. As a teaching assistant for her lighting professor, she honed her technical and creative approach to illumination — skills she now brings to her architectural lighting practice.
